Meet the team
The Grit Method is made up of dedicated organizers who go above & beyond to serve our clients.
Not only are we problem solvers, but we are also moms, teachers, carpenters, nurses, therapists, divorcees, caregivers, & so much more.
When we say we get it, we really do get it.
We enter your home with zero judgement and complete understanding. Our goal is to take the weight off your shoulders & we do what it takes to accomplish that goal.
I have been described as gritty my whole life. In fact, doing whatever it takes to get something done right is a pride point of mine. Problem solving is a passion project, goal setting is my love language, and I believe efficiency is a life style.
While my own family may get annoyed with my obsession to keep the crayons and markers in their own labeled containers (looking at you kids!), I knew I could put my superpowers to good and help change peoples lives for the better.
I understand how life transitions can often be overwhelming to the point of paralysis. I’ve faced them myself and I’m here to help. From downsizing to estate dispersal to coming up with systems and strategies for new lifestyles after major life transitions - I’ve had personal experience with it all. Not only do I bring grit to every project, I also bring confidentiality and zero judgement.
Whether you are an empty nester ready for your next chapter, navigating the loss of a loved one, or a busy mom who wants a streamlined playroom, The Grit Method is here to help you.
No Grit. No Pearl.
Nettie
Hi, I’m Nettie.
Owner & CEO
As a lead organizer, I love brining my passions for organizational systems & carpentry to every project.
I joined The Grit Method after closing my woodworking business, The Local Grain Company. During my 7 years owning a wood shop, I handmade many things from shelves to stocking holders to custom farmhouse tables. There's something so special about creating furniture that can both solve a problem and bring joy to a client's home.
One thing I’ve learned in home organization is that every client’s situation is unique. What makes sense for one person may be completely confusing for another. Like many of our clients, I have ADHD so I understand the struggle with decision fatigue and overwhelm that comes with keeping a home organized. I see ADHD as my superpower, it allows me to get creative, think outside the box and eliminate the complexity of certain circumstances.
Grit & Grain.
